In its most general form, Brahmaganita is the study of the behavior of mathematical expressions and equations. It can be commonly perceived as a connecting link between all the branches of mathematical studies.

It derives its name from Brahma, one of the Gods in Hindu trinity who is unanimously considered as the creator of the universe; and Ganita, the Sanskrit term for Mathematics.

Brahmaganita is a tool for more general operations like addition and multiplication, and also to record and analyse the complex patterns pertaining to higher order functions and dimensions.
